yoga
I have been practicing Yoga since 2008. I started my journey with Ashtanga Yoga and used my practice as a tool to handle my life as a student. As I continued to grow my awareness of my mental and physical state, I changed my practice to Hatha Yoga, stabilising my mind and body whilst continually developing my understanding of stillness and steadiness. In 2014, I did my first ten-day Vipassana retreat and have since then adapted the teaching of NS Goenka. I have conducted six silent retreats as a student and one as a server for ten days. Today I am a 200 hours certified Hatha Yoga teacher by Jeevmoksha Yoga School. For me, Yoga is a way of living where I spend time on my yoga mat daily.
Yoga Classes
I offer individual and group classes by booking. I have done several online classes and worked for yoga studios and gyms like SLVK. Contact me if you are interested in a private booking or creating a class for a group. I adapt classes depending on the group, from beginners to advanced yogis. You can also sign up for my newsletter which I sometimes invite for free online classes. My goal is to give you tools that you can use daily.
In collaboration with Jeevmoksha Yoga School in Rishikesh:
India has been badly affected by the pandemic, not least the yoga community! To help out my friend and yoga teacher I voluntarily helped him to organise online morning yoga classes for people in Sweden in June 2020. He did Monday-Wednesday for two weeks over Zoom. The classes were very successful! If you are interested in getting to the source of yoga, please let me know, Vinay and I work closely. I would highly recommend Jeevmoksha if you are considering doing yoga teacher training.
“This course has been of great use to me as an introduction to the most important elements of yoga.
I am grateful for the deeper understanding I have gained for the philosophy and the non-physical aspects of yoga thanks to Vinays teaching. But also, reflecting upon the past week I realise that throughout the course I was unconsciously revisiting previous knowledge of yoga, reevaluating it and relearning the ways I do some of the asanas. It has made me feel better in tune with my body.
Despite classes only being an hour every morning it never felt rushed but rather like the classes were well thought through and built upon the previous class. I am looking forward to continuing the practice on my own now and hopefully also see you again in future courses.”
